About Centennial Flooring Installation
A working flooring crew in the south metro, not a call center selling your address.
The person who measures your rooms is the person who prices them, and the installers are ours. That is why we can promise the number and actually keep it.
- Licensed & Insured
- Written Workmanship Warranty
- One Crew Start to Finish

How We Ended Up Doing It This Way
Centennial Flooring Installation exists because of one conversation that happens over and over in this trade, and everybody in it knows the script. A homeowner accepts a low square-foot price. The crew arrives, pulls the carpet, and finds a slab out of plane or plywood gone soft near a dishwasher. By lunchtime there is a phone call, and by the afternoon the job costs noticeably more than the number on the paper. The homeowner has an empty room, furniture in the garage and no leverage, so they agree. It is not always deliberate. But it is always avoidable, and building a company around avoiding it is the reason we are here.
So we changed the order of operations. We lift a corner of your existing floor at the free measurement, straightedge the room, and take a moisture reading before we write anything down. The subfloor cost goes on the estimate alongside the material, the demolition, the haul-away and the trim, and it goes on there whether or not you asked about it. That makes some of our estimates look higher than the one you got yesterday. It also means the figure you approve is the figure you pay, which is a genuinely rare thing to be able to say in flooring.
Today we work across Centennial and the surrounding south metro: Littleton, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Aurora, Englewood and out toward Castle Rock. We install every material a home needs and we do the parts nobody else wants to page out, the subfloor correction, the stairs, the trim, the transitions. The people who tear out your old floor are the people who caulk the last piece of shoe molding, and they work for us rather than for a subcontractor we found last week.
What We Are Actually Trying to Do
Make the estimate the truth. Everything else we do follows from that: inspecting before quoting, pricing prep as its own line, keeping one crew on a job from demolition to walkthrough, and putting a workmanship warranty on paper rather than in a sentence on a website.
A flooring project is one of the larger cheques a household writes in a given year and it is almost entirely judged on work the customer cannot inspect. We think the right response to that imbalance is radical plainness about what we found, what it costs, and what we are going to do about it.
Six Reasons Homeowners Stay With Us
The same six points we make standing in someone's living room, written down.
We inspect before we quote
A corner comes up at the measurement, every time. It is the only way to price subfloor prep honestly, and it is the difference between an estimate and a hopeful guess.
Our labor is warrantied in writing
The material carries the manufacturer's warranty. The installation carries ours, on paper, handed over at the walkthrough. Install quality is the part you cannot judge by looking, so we put it in writing instead of asking you to trust us.
One crew, start to finish
Demolition, prep, install, stairs and trim are done by the same people. Nothing waits three weeks for a sub, and nobody points at anybody else when there is a question.
We know Colorado's climate is the variable
Front Range humidity swings from single digits in January to damp August afternoons, and at 5,800 feet wood behaves differently than the installation guide's sea-level assumptions. Acclimation windows, expansion gaps and moisture testing are set for this state, not copied from a national script.
We understand the ground under Arapahoe County homes
Expansive clay moves basement slabs seasonally, which is why we default to uncoupling membranes under tile and test slabs rather than assuming them dry. Local conditions drive local specifications.
We say no when the answer is no
Hardwood below grade with a bad moisture reading, laminate in a full bath, a refinish on a floor with nothing left above the tongue. We will tell you and lose the sale. It costs less than the alternative for both of us.
Credentials and Coverage
Colorado does not issue a statewide flooring or general contractor license, so we hold the municipal licensing our jurisdictions require and carry full insurance rather than pointing at a state license number that does not exist here. Everything below is verifiable, and we will provide certificates on request before you sign anything.
- Licensed for the jurisdictions we work in, and fully insured
- General liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage
- Written workmanship warranty on all installed labor
- NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) trained installation and finishing
- CFI (Certified Flooring Installers) certified installers
- Manufacturer-approved installation methods that preserve your material warranty
- Authorised installation for Shaw, Mohawk, Coretec, Mannington, Karndean and Daltile product lines
- Documented moisture testing to ASTM methods on slabs and wood decks
- Dust-controlled demolition and grinding on HEPA extraction
- Free in-home measurement and written, itemized estimate
- Financing options available
- Locally owned and operated in the south metro, not a lead-broker referral service

The fastest way to judge a flooring contractor is to have one measure your rooms and explain what is underneath them. It takes about forty minutes, it costs nothing, and you will leave the conversation with an itemized number in writing.
